J. A. Johnson (Devon, England) -

This book is an incredible read, i couldn't put it down, to think this man went through all of that in his life, to have survived it is miraculous, yet he not only survives,He has made a completely new life and is a better person, with faith in God, It puts hope back into the hearts of those of us that are searching ourselves. He is a true miracle, a must for all to read.

An Eye-Opening Experience in Reading., April 3, 2003
Reviewer: Linda E. Elsen from Kenosha, WI United States
Just finished Steve Amos book. He successfully brings you into the Wizard of Oz world of drugs. The book reads smoothly and Mr. Amos has the writing ability of an English version of Ireland's Frank Mc Court. With each page comes the desire to read more. His drug related stories are scarey to say the least. You want to reach in and pull him out of that world, to save him. In the end, however, it is Mr. Amos's words that open your eyes to what true faith and love in God really is. It is he, who saves you.

From the perspective of someone who's never been into drugs, this book was frightening, encouraging, horrific and amazingly uplifting all at once. From the perspective of a youth leader it's a very timely warning as to just what can happen to kids without the right kind of input from the adults around them. We've booked Steve Amos to come to our church in October...

Having been fortunate enough to have worked with Steve Amos I know that this is only the begining ! a very honest, powerful read. Telling the incredible story of a young man who started life as a drug dealer but then went on to do great work for the Lord ! working with the homeless, young people and The God squad. Cant wait for him to publish the next chapter of his story! A fast moving read and not boring or patronising like some christian books can be. I would recommend it to anyone Christian or non Christian, young or old.

I read this amazing book in about two hours as simply couldnt put it down. It gave a very real account of just how easy and yet so dangerous it is to get swept into the world of drugs. When Steve finds faith and a new belief in himself it made me want to cry with happiness for him. This book is a must read title and Steve is an inspiration to us all.

Too powerful for the faint hearted! I truely believe we all have a purpose on earth, no matter how big or small the difference, it all counts to make a better world. My mother used to say."Your life is what you make it!"
I strongly feel that Steve has found his vocation in life, as oddly as it sounds. To appreciate what you have, sometimes you really do have to go all the way there and back, just to realise how powerful the meaning of love is!!
Steve I really hope and pray you consider having your book made into a film!! Your dramatic real life testimony would reach and touch so many others, not to mention and teach, as it did me. More than words can convey.
This book brings in true sense of the words."Its never too late to change!"
I feel somewhat humble after reading it, and look very much forward in a second addition?

This clear account of Steve Amos' life from which he was quite literally taken From the Pit of Hell, doesn't big up drugs or bad behaviour, it doesn't mince its words about where he has come from BUT does show clearly the grace of God on our lives and the love He has for us despite wanting to go through life as we want - regardless of the consequences.

I found this to be ultra-relevant to the 21st century. As an outsider in the modern world, this man's experiences spoke to me in a way that no person, regardless of whether I have met them or not, ever has before. I thank you, Mr. Amos, for helping me find my place. For all those of you who are lost, chapter three might provide the foothold you need to escape
